Have you participated in M.A.P. before?

Please list all conflicts between October 5 and December 8 that would keep you away from rehearsal. Actors won’t be required at all rehearsals until we near performance time, but to cast the show and build the best rehearsal schedule, this is info we need.

THEATRE PARENT & PARTICIPANT EXPECTATIONS

The following Expectations have been set for those involved in M.A.P.’s 2024 Season to ensure that all participants have a wonderful experience while learning the discipline and dedication needed to be a part of a production. Keeping these promises helps to ensure the safety of all.

  1. M.A.P. has a solid history of serving our community. To participate in M.A.P. means you are a part of this organization. Please make sure you have completed the membership form.  Annual dues are $15.00. (If this cost is difficult for your family, please see one of the adults in charge.)

  2. We believe in the power of the family! We ask that each family have at least one member who volunteers to serve the production. This can be helping backstage, building sets, at rehearsals, gathering costumes, volunteering at camp, or in the lobby on production days.

  3. All participants will treat the facilities with respect and care. Garbage will be disposed of properly and all items brought into the facility will be carried out after rehearsal. The cast and crew will tidy spaces before leaving.

  4. All cast members will memorize their lines/songs/dances by the deadlines given.

  5. M.A.P.’s goal is to provide this experience with no financial impact on the family. However, if you would like to purchase your child’s costume, or make it yourself, please consult with the director and the costumer prior to any purchase.

  6. All cast members MUST attend all performances.

  7. All cast members will attend al scheduled rehearsals. In case of an emergency or illness please notify one of the directors by phone or text as soon as possible.

  8. NO CELL PHONE POLICY. We want all participants to be fully engaged in the experience. Cell phones will be gathered by the stage manager before performances and returned afterwards.

  9. All participants are expected to be on their best behavior. No hitting, cursing, kicking, belittling or bullying will be tolerated. Respect personal space and avoid inappropriate behavior. Follow directions. Participants who cannot abide by these rules may be asked to leave the cast.

  10. The use of drugs or alcohol during this production experience is strictly forbidden by a participant or volunteer. Anyone suspected oof being under the influence of either will be immediately dismissed from the production. We do not compromise safety.

12. Promote M.A.P. and your production in the community! Posters will be available soon.

13. All adult participants over 18 and older must complete/pass a Bay St. Louis Background Check.
